I would have never known about this movie had it not been for the kindness of friends. This 2011 movie starring Robert Duvall provides a fantastic look into sport psychology methods using professional golf as the backdrop.

It is beyond me how I missed out on this film. Thankfully, David Gurkin had mentioned it to Chuck Laughridge, who shared it via text with Doug Parsons and myself last August. David had described it to Chuck as the “best movie ever for sporting clays enthusiasts even though it is centered around golf”. I had intended to watch it given the strong recommendation, but several weeks went by and I had failed to take the time out. Then, in September, I got an email – this time from Nick Franciose independently recommending the film! No more delays…that night, I loaded up the movie from the internet and watched it along with my bride. It was everything that had been promised and more! Thanks David, Chuck and Nick.
